RSPB Bird watch

This week we are going to use all the children's ideas to improve our nature area and think about how we can look after the birds in this wintery weather.

We will also be taking part in the RSPB bird  count. The children will be bringing home a counting sheet and some bird food to hang in the garden, do have a go at recording the information with the children they will enjoy it and I am sure there will be some amazing WOW's t bring in.

This week we will also be exploring and learning about positional language such as next too, behind, in front etc. we will be playing games, obstacle courses, puzzles and stories (MD shape space and measure)
We start the week with the poem '5 cheeky robins' this will be the starting point to make a number line, helping the children to recognise numeral and count past 10. (MD numbers)

The children will be enjoying crafts,  making robins and lots of different birds for a display.
